Another Day

Still in Rocky Point and doing what we do.  Somethings to keep you updated on are...

We got our sign painted so it doesn't look like a random RV park anymore.

We have met a couple of really inspiring people that will play a key role in our success down here.  It has been really encouraging over the last few days to meet some people that are really doing incredible things.  There is such a need down here and my only regret is that we weren't down here sooner.  

Can't wait to see what's going to happen tomorrow.

Sept 9

So heres what's going on with One Mission Today:

We have been working on making connections with some local pastors, leaders, and other persons of interest.  There is quite a few organizations down here already and I'd really like to see them work together better.  If we can unite some of the organizations down here would could build a community in no time.  A community of clinics, houses, churches, markets, and whatever else we can identify as a need.  So far we have a lot of people on board with this vision and willing to put their part in to make it a reality.  

So far the biggest obstacles are what requirements will we have for people to live in this community, who actually owns the land, and how we can enforce some of those requirements.  

We'll see what happens.

Some of the things we need prayer for is:

Meeting the right people

Showing love to people we may not agree with (its hard to work with organizations sometimes)

Helping us not to offend people.  Local people and organizations.

Continued safety and productivity.
